Some of the staff were able to speak English and were very helpful. The location was right in the town center but the room was very quiet despite being right on the street by the river.
Loved the view out of the window and the way the beds faced toward it. The little balcony was an added bonus. All rooms have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. Right in the Mosel bike path and an easy walk to Zell and Merl, it is a great place to stay in Zell. Great terrace for breakfast or afternoon drink.
Renting bicycles is easy in Merl. No deposit. Tell them the hotel. Niklaus is a Great Host. This is a local favorite. You might be the only Americans there , but that is part of the authenticity and charm of the place. First stayed here in for a Christmas market trip. Much snow. Not so in June ! It features a riverside terrace, free on-site parking and breakfast room with panoramic countryside views. Location was superb overlooking the river.
This castle-style hotel offers rooms with free Wi-Fi, free parking and rental bicycles. It stands beside the River Moselle in the Medieval town of Zell. Very friendly staff, excellent location and parking space, wonderful breakfast.
Great welcome, warm and cozy room, second stay in 6 weeks which speaks volumes, great place to stay. Excellent location and lovely view! We have stayed at this property before as it's an ideal location for us being a few houses away from relatives. However, it's position is perfect for anyone wanting to visit zell an Der model. It's only a 10 minute walk to the centre of the town. The hosts are very pleasant and the breakfasts are as well presented as they are nice to eat.
